An Inconvenient Truth

The sun sends out light waves to the earth which are reflected by Infra Red Radiation into the earth's thin atmosphere which then reflects back to us although the earth's atmosphere is becoming thicker because of pollution causing infra red radiation to be trapped therefore making the planet hotter.

There is a great danger in global warming destroying our planet. This presentaton by Al Gore explains the damage we are doing to the planet, animals and our well-being. There could be a vast change in climate within the next fifty years according to Gore.

He makes the point of people's misunderstanding with the Earth's fragility which I believe is important and why we are in danger of destroying the planet. Many people describe this presentation as dubious and exaggerated. Even so maybe people should be panicking about this sooner rather than later to make any difference they can before it is too late.

No other politician wants to cause such panic among us although Al Gore is giving us a chance to save ourselves through this presentation. He has been chastised by other politicians through the media who choose to ignore the fact we will be in real trouble in years to come if we continue to destroy the planet.

He uses several charts and graphs to show the extremities our current actions will create in the future. From one level to an incredible rise which would be our demise. The ice caps keeping our climate at an unharmful temperature are melting because of global warming. This may wipe out the polar bear. The rise of carbon dioxide levels on one chart showing vast increased temperatures in the next fifty years.

The fact of the matter is people are already dieing from severe weather conditions and natural disasters. In hotter countries across the world people are having many deaths from hotter summers, floods, hurricanes and typhoons.

There are many things people should know in how to prevent the damage global warming is causing such as planting a tree, which through it's lifetime will absorb a ton of carbon dioxide, thermostats, recycling and hybrid cars.

LAbyrinth

Recently read the book about corruption in the LAPD following the murders of rappers Tupac Shakur and Christopher Wallace. From the outset we are told the story of a cop shooting of ironically another cop. The corrupt victim who instigated the altercation was African-American and therefore this was castigated through the media as a race related case. The book follows an LAPD officers hard work on the case.

The story also follows other corrupt officials and the removal of cocaine which was kept as evidence by the police, and also an officer being responsible for the pregnancy of a minor. There are many references to things not done legitimately. One under-cover division was closed, therefore causing a rise in crime. This just proving what a problem these corrupt officials create.

A lot of the story follows Suge Knight and death row records. Sometimes up to seventy gang members were at his recording studios, also police officers were employed as security staff, thus arousing suspicion among the detective on this case towards a man who had previously been charged with breaking the law including witnesses afraid to testify against this man who held such power. Someone was murdered at a death row party involving gang members and nobody was charged.

The story unfolds lots of suspicions surrounding the murders and that the truth could be found if looked for, rather than the media and others misleading the public to believe that these crimes are a mystery.

His final report on the case was changed from around forty pages to just two, as usual the powers that be decide to withhold the truth from the media. This lack of judgement in withholding the truth will probably always be a problem especially in this situation with both crooked cops and race discrimination.
